Aurélie – Milk producer – Côte d’Or

Working on the family farm for four generations, Aurélie and her husband raise Brune des Alpes cows about thirty kilometers from Châtillon-sur-Seine. Their motto is to combine dairy farming with the preservation of natural heritage.
Ten years ago, they reestablished the Dijeanne River, a tributary of the Seine, in its original bed. In 2022, a methanization unit (a system that produces biogas from manure) was built on the farm. This system has allowed them to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, fertilize their land with the residue, and provide a clean and sustainable source of energy for the dairy. For the past two years, they have been bringing this milk, produced with “the love of their land,” to Fromagerie Delin.
